Half-Life: Headcrabs + Watermelons = Love

Half-Life 2 and sequence did much thanks to the gentle playful Lamarr to restore the reputation of Headcrabs – those much maligned and misunderstood creatures all because they happen to find human brains quite delicious.

So does Hannibal Lecter, but no one criticises him, just because he’s a doctor and stuff, so that makes it alright then, huh?

Jazz-Hands believes these noble creatures are long overdue rehabilitation. Breakthrough research by Cloverstardrop proves conclusively that headcrabs are perfectly harmless so long as they have access to watermelons.

If Gordon Freeman and his friends keep getting attacked by them, that’s his own silly fault for not carrying a watermelon with him. If he didn’t go around swinging that crowbar as well, perhaps they might not overreact to feeling threatened.

Wouldn’t a simple ‘Shoo! Go away naughty headcrab!’ suffice? It works perfectly well in The Sims 3 with all subjects, does it not? Note also there is ample supply of watermelons in Sims 3. Do Simmies ever get attacked by headcrabs? No.

Let’s shame those silly Half-Wit people until they mend their caputkabourophobiac ways. Wear your headcrab with watermelon t-shirt with pride!
